Designing and building a property marketplace with university-proximity search for student housing, tiered identity verification and database-enforced authorization.
What I built
- ↗Designed a 58-table PostgreSQL schema with 67 indexes, 16 functions and 21 triggers
- ↗Wrote 128 Row-Level Security policies covering every table
- ↗Modelled campus proximity with PostGIS, computed by database triggers rather than user input
- ↗Built three-tier KYC verification with private document storage
- ↗Built the property lifecycle: moderation, publication and automated expiry
- ↗Implemented a transactional outbox for notifications, drained by a scheduled job
- ↗Built the multi-role architecture spanning students, sellers, dealers and admins
- ↗Wrote 196 Vitest unit tests and 23 Playwright end-to-end specs, wired into a GitHub Actions pipeline
